When I, then I

Are you a ‘when I, then I’ person?

‘When I find myself a loving partner, then I’ll be happy.’

‘When I get that next promotion, then I’ll be satisfied.’

‘When I have enough savings in the bank, then I’ll relax.’

‘When I lose weight, then I’ll ….’

You get the gist.

Are you waiting for something to happen in your life before you can really enjoy it?

Sure you can work towards that next promotion, go to the gym and eat healthy, manifest the life that you want to live, just don’t forget about today while you’re at it.

I went to see a clairvoyant when I was younger and she told me to quit the ‘when I, then I’ mindset. She pointed out that life is the journey, the day-to-day living, the mundane and the significant, the small conversations and the big life altering ones, the big holidays you’ve been saving for as well as the days spent at home on the couch.

So, if you’re someone who’s waiting to be able to truly enjoy life, step back and consider how much you might be missing out on because there is never a perfect time. There’s only now, so grab it with both hands and make the most of it.

What are you waiting for?
