Looking for inspiration
Information and inspiration is everywhere, once you start looking for it, but the trick is to work out what interests you in the first place.
Don’t go straight from feeling unfulfilled at work to looking for a new job. Chances are you’ll just replace one company with another, but still be left with the same level of satisfaction. Start by noticing what draws your attention, what you’re interested in and what parts of a job you like.
Look at people who are doing things you love and read about them. Create a list of people that inspire you and then find out how they got to that point in their lives. Is there anything you can learn from their journey?
What about people that have a style that you’d like to emulate - what part of their look do you like? You wouldn’t walk into a hairdresser and tell them to give you a haircut. First you look for pictures, photos of other people’s haircuts. The same goes for making changes - look at what others are doing / wearing / reading and find what parts you might want to adapt for yourself.
The biggest help when looking to make changes are the people around you. So open up and start a conversation. You never know where it might lead.
